Job description

Essential Functions:

1. Customer Service
2. Provides SMART customer service by executing Lowe's customer service policies, procedures, and programs.
3. Seeks out customers to understand their needs and assists in locating, demonstrating, selecting, carrying, and loading merchandise.
4. Responds promptly and knowledgeably to customer and employee questions, guiding them through projects when needed.
5. Shows genuine appreciation to customers.
6. Communicates information regarding stock, special orders, features, benefits, applications, and warranties related to Lowe’s programs.
7. Contacts customers about deliveries or coordinates with truck drivers.

In-stock

1. Plans delivery activities, prints loading tickets, and delivers merchandise on schedule for on-time delivery.
2. Prepares merchandise, builds, bands delivery loads, and loads trucks within payload limits.
3. Inspects products before loading or assisting customers with loading.
4. Verifies invoice items against loaded quantities.

Clean and Safe Stores

1. Ensures loads are safe, secure, and compliant with DOT regulations.
2. Updates delivery and route status in the system for tracking.
3. Unloads, installs, and tests appliances upon delivery.
4. Performs vehicle inspections, maintains cleanliness, and reports repairs.
5. Completes DOT reporting to maintain certification and compliance.
6. Detects security risks and reports them promptly.
7. Maintains store cleanliness and organization, ensuring safety standards.
8. Operates store equipment as needed based on role.
9. Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• Class A CDL License for multi-unit CMV locations or Class B CDL License with air brake endorsement for single-unit CMV locations.
• Valid medical certificate or ability to obtain one.
• Ability to pass MVR screening.
• Ability to obtain sales-related licensure if required.
• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills.
• Must be 21 years or older.
• Ability to comply with DOT and CDL regulations.

Preferences:

• 1 year semi-truck/trailer driving experience or certification.
• 6 months in-home delivery or retail customer service.
• 3 months operating a forklift or Moffett.
