Job summary

Saint Mary’s Catholic High School in Phoenix, Arizona, seeks a Full-Time Substitute Teacher to support the school’s Catholic mission and provide reliable classroom coverage across grade levels and subjects.

Reporting to the Principal and Assistant Principal of Curriculum and Instruction, the successful candidate will uphold school policies and foster positive relationships with students, faculty, and families.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Eligible to obtain or currently hold an Arizona Substitute Teaching Certificate.
• Arizona Department of Education Substitute Teacher Certification required or ability to obtain before employment.
• Arizona Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Completion of Diocese Safe Environment Training and signed Code of Conduct required.
• Practicing Roman Catholic preferred.
• Catholic candidates must be willing to make a Profession of Faith.
• Non-Catholic candidates must be willing to support and uphold the mission, teachings, and philosophy of Catholic education.

• Follow Substitute Teacher Handbook protocols and communicate effectively with staff.
• Supervise students during assigned duties and transitions.
