Job description

Creative Dining Services at Grand Rapids Community College is looking for a Caterer to join us in providing high quality food and excellent service to the GRCC community! Located in a convenient downtown location, the catering staff serve as partners with the Dining Services Supervisor / Director. This role includes the actual working of coffee breaks, receptions, and meals including set-up, service, and clean-up. Catering staff interact with customers/ guests at events with professionalism, service and grace.

Core Responsibilities

1. Sets up, serves and cleans up dining room as directed.
2. Interacts with guests and customers at events with professionalism, service and grace, upholding the customer service expectations of CDS and the client/account.
3. Ensures all dishes, utensils, and other equipment from the storeroom are clean and properly returned to their correct place. Ensures proper lock-up procedures are followed and enforced.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Previous catering and server experience
2. Experience in a high-volume catering operation (preferred)
