Job summary

The Salvation Army ARC-Charlotte Store in Charlotte, NC is hiring a Full Time Regular Store Associate. You will assist customers in selecting and purchasing items, operate and maintain the cash register, balance the drawer, print receipts, and prepare deposits as needed.

You will respond to customer questions and donations, maintain neat displays, keep the cash register area secure, clean racks and floors, and answer store phones politely.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Retail store experience preferred.
• Ability to operate a cash register and handle cash accurately.

Responsibilities

• Assist store customers in selecting and purchasing items.
• Operate and maintain a cash register; collect monies, count change, print receipts; balance the drawer.
• Prepare and deliver bank deposits; respond to customer questions and assist donors.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of merchandise and displays; secure the cash register area.
• Clean display racks and shelves; sweep and mop floors; clean windows; answer store telephone politely.
