Carpet Cleaning Trainee Duties and Responsibilities

• Work alongside a Technician at residential and commercial jobs.
• Learn to operate truck‑mounted and portable carpet extraction equipment.
• Mix cleaning solutions and use them to clean carpet and remove stains.
• Move furniture and prepare each space for cleaning.
• Clean, disinfect, and maintain equipment after each job.
• Drive the company van when needed.
• Spot and report possible repairs, and help collect customer payments.
• Follow all company policies, with special attention to health and safety procedures.

Carpet Cleaning Trainee Experience and Qualifications

• No carpet cleaning experience required. We’ll teach you everything.
• Previous cleaning experience of any kind (janitorial, housekeeping, detailing) or general labor experience is a plus.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver’s license.
• A strong work ethic, a positive attitude, and a desire to learn and grow.
• The ability to take direction and pay close attention to detail.

Schedule and physical requirements

• On‑call: You will be added to our on‑call rotation to help respond to client emergencies.
• Physical demands: This is an active, hands‑on job. You’ll stand, walk, bend, kneel, stoop, crouch, crawl, and climb throughout the day, and you must be able to lift and move items over 50 lbs.
