Job summary

MaineGuide in Belfast is seeking a dedicated shop-based carpenter for full-time work. You will perform framing and carpentry duties, maintain safety, and collaborate with the shop team to meet schedules and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years of carpentry experience, basic toolset, and ability to lift heavy loads. On-site work, pre-employment physical, valid license, and willingness to learn 3D modeling tools are part of the job.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of intermediate carpenter experience; new construction framing considered a plus.
• Own a tool belt with basic hand tools; ¼" impact driver is the only required power tool.
• Ability to understand and apply safe work practices.
• Ability to lift 10–25 lbs continuously and 50 lbs frequently from various heights.
• Basic knowledge of lumber types and residential new construction materials.
• Basic computer skills.
• Must pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a full-time, Shop-Based Carpenter.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Continuous use of personal protective equipment while prioritizing a clean and safe work environment
• Daily reporting and collaboration with other team members, shop lead and shop manager
• Respectful communication in a professional manner at all times
• Consistent attendance on time, prepared to work (4) 10 hour days
• Upholding GO Logic Quality Assurance Standards
• Identifying and reporting production issues to leadership quickly
• Interacting with 3D modeling software (training provided)

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience as an intermediate level carpenter; new construction framing a plus
• Own a tool belt with basic hand tools (¼" impact driver is the only required power tool)
• Ability to understand and apply safe work practices
• Ability to lift 10-25 lbs continuously and 50 lbs frequently from various heights

• Basic computer skills
• Good awareness of personal physical limits; not afraid to ask for help when needed
• Own a smart device able to download time tracking and payroll applications
• Forklift/telehandler experience a plus
• Ability to work on-site if needed
• Able to pass pre-employment physical testing
• Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation
