Job summary

BrightStar Care - Cuyahoga West is seeking compassionate Caregivers to provide quality in-home care across Westside, Eastside, and Southwest Cleveland. Expect 40 hours per week with morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts, flexible across multiple locations. Responsibilities include ADLs, mobility, meals, household tasks, companionship, and reporting changes to the care team. Benefits include insurance, paid time off, bonuses, and ongoing training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least one year of caregiving, home care, assisted living, or direct care experience preferred.
• HHA, STNA, CNA, or Nursing Assistant training preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Negative TB test or chest X-ray.
• Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and proof of auto insurance.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and assist with client mobility, as required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and follow client care plans.
• Commitment to client privacy, confidentiality, and HIPAA compliance.

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Provide mobility assistance, transfers, and ambulation support.
• Prepare meals and provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping, laundry, and other household tasks.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Assist clients with errands, appointments, and community activities when needed.
• Observe and report changes in clients' conditions to the appropriate care team.
• Follow individualized care plans and agency policies.

Schedule & Availability Requirements

• Minimum of 40 hours per week

• Morning, afternoon, evening, and overnight shifts available

• Must be available for on-call assignments as needed

• High availability for multiple client assignments and open shifts

• Flexibility to travel and work throughout Westside, Eastside, and Southwest Cleveland

• Availability to work weekdays, weekends, and varying shifts based on client needs
