SUMMARY:
Resident Care Associate shall provide for the needs of the elders, including personal care, therapeutic programming, safety, and emotional support, in a manner that supports dignity, independence, choice, and individuality of each resident. Responsibilities include delivering services as outlined in the approved service plan for each Resident.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, DUTIES, and RESPONSIBILITIES:
The duties below are representative of those encountered in this role. This list is not exhaustive, and other duties may be assigned as needed.
1. Promote the mission and core values of the Residence and LCB Senior Living.
2. Actively participate in growing community occupancy by engaging positively with potential residents and their families.
3. Complete community and State orientation training before starting duties.
4. Assist residents with medications following State Regulations and policies, record keeping, and notifying nurses as required.
5. Engage residents in meaningful interactions and activities, supporting independence in daily living tasks.
6. Monitor changes in resident needs and report to RN or designee.
7. Assist with clothing, laundry, and nighttime routines.
8. Maintain a clean and orderly environment for residents.
9. Respond promptly to emergency calls and resident needs.
10. Participate in ongoing training and mandatory education programs.
11. Escort residents to meals and activities as needed.
12. Document all services provided, incidents, and resident refusals accurately.
13. Conduct and facilitate programming to promote cognitive, social, physical, and spiritual well-being.
14. Perform other duties as requested.

Qualifications

Standards: These meet or exceed NH, MA, CT, and RI State requirements.
a. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Proficiency in computer documentation and fluent in English, both oral and written.
b. Education: Completion of CNA training or equivalent, including CPR and First Aid as mandated.
c. Experience: Prior direct care experience preferred, especially with seniors with Alzheimer's or Dementia.
d. Licenses/Certifications: Valid license/certification as required by State Regulations, with documentation provided.
e. Computer Skills: Demonstrates computer literacy and familiarity with office software.
