Job summary

Silverado Hermann Park in Houston is seeking Caregivers to provide hands-on support for residents with Alzheimer’s, dementia, and memory-impairing conditions. This role combines empathy, reliability, and relationship-building to create meaningful moments every day.

You will assist with daily living activities, build strong relationships with residents and families, and report changes to the nursing team. Full-time, NOC shift; anticipated pay range $16–$17 USD per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience with Alzheimer’s/dementia preferred.
• Reliable transportation.
• Effective communicator in English.

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate care and assistance with daily living activities (bathing, dressing, grooming, dining, etc.).
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, families, and fellow team members.
• Support residents with memory impairments in a safe, respectful, and engaging environment.
• Maintain accurate care records and report changes to the nursing team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Qualifications:

• Experience caring for individuals with Alzheimer’s, dementia, or other debilitating conditions (preferred but not required)Reliable transportation to meet attendance and punctuality standards
• Effective communicator in verbal and written English
• Active role: walking, bending, lifting (up to 50 lbs.)
• Comfortable working around animals and pets
