Job summary

Williams College is seeking a Plumber and/or HVAC Technician to maintain and repair HVAC, refrigeration, and plumbing systems on its campus. This full-time position operates Monday through Friday, providing a consistent schedule and supportive environment.

The ideal candidate will have relevant experience, a valid driver’s license, and preferred licenses such as a Refrigeration License. The role includes a variety of responsibilities, from installation to maintenance, within a diverse and inclusive community.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license.
• Refrigeration License (MA Refrigeration Technician License) – preferred.
• Plumbing License (MA Plumbing, MA Gasfitters, or MA LP License).
• Sprinkler Fitter License (MA Journeyman Sprinkler Fitter License).

Responsibilities

• Perform assigned work orders for installation and maintenance of HVAC equipment.
• Monitor field work for efficiency and best practices.
• Communicate with campus community to schedule maintenance and repairs.
• Assist preventive maintenance technicians with work orders.
• Assist with campus snow control.
• Install and maintain heat pumps throughout campus.

Education

High school diploma plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
