Job summary

Chartwells Higher Ed in Johnstown, PA is seeking a full-time COOK to join our university dining team. Prior cooking experience, ability to follow recipes, and knowledge of food safety are required. The role is on-site at University of Pittsburgh - Johnstown with a 11:00 am to 8:00 pm schedule.

You will prepare high-quality meals, maintain kitchen cleanliness, assist with ordering and receiving of supplies, and ensure HACCP standards are met. Competitive benefits accompany full-time employment.

Qualifications

• Prior cooking experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and ensuring proper temperatures and presentation.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, maintains cleanliness and safe handling.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and organized; stores items per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies, and reports maintenance needs.
• Adheres to HACCP standards and company policies.
