Compass Group at the University of Miami, Coral Gables, is hiring full-time COOKs. Location: University of Miami - 1350 Miller Drive, Coral Gables, FL 33146. Schedule: 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM; wage range $17.20–$20.40 per hour. Online applications accepted only.

Requires cooking experience. Benefits include Instapay via One @Work. Prepares food per recipes, maintains temperature controls and presentation, and ensures HACCP standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring that food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty.
• Uses established ticket collection procedures during service and maintains records from the area worked.
• Cleans kitchen after preparation and serving, stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Maintains refrigerators and storerooms, stores food and supplies per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assists in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies; reports maintenance or safety issues.
