Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Savannah, GA to provide quality customer service and maintain standards in the department. You will help with food preparation, maintain sanitation, and ensure proper handling of products while following company procedures.

Responsibilities include accurate merchandise display, safety compliance, and teamwork with store staff. The role requires the ability to learn technical details and work in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Ability to use technical information to solve problems.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly, and accurate service to create a positive shopping experience.
• Be courteous and helpful to other associates.
• Understand ingredients, mixes, and icings and coordinate colors.
• Understand production standards for processing of all product.
• Follow all technical manuals for processing, labeling, etc.
• Ensure proper sanitation of department, equipment and proper food handling/preparation.
• Ensure ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise per policies and guidelines.
• Maintain understanding of and adherence to company guidelines, policies and standard practice.
• Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Observe and correct all unsafe conditions that could cause accidents.
• Report all accidents per Food Lion procedures to the Manager on Duty.
• Ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron and name badge with neat appearance.
• Understand and use ACIS and CAO tools.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.
