Job summary

Food Lion is seeking a Deli Bakery Associate in Hilton Head Island, SC. Provide quality customer service, maintain sanitation, and follow standard practices to maximize sales and minimize shrink.

You will handle product preparation, understand labeling, and comply with safety guidelines while wearing the Food Lion uniform and name badge. The role supports a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Ability and willingness to learn multiple tasks and technical requirements of the job.
• Must meet minimum age requirements to perform specific job functions.
• Must be able to meet the physical requirements of the position, with or without reasonable accommodations.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality customer service within the Deli Bakery Department.
• Maintain enthusiastic customer awareness with fast, friendly service.
• Understand production standards for processing of all product.
• Follow all technical manuals for processing of product, label placement, etc.
• Ensure proper sanitation of department, equipment and proper food handling/preparation.
• Ensure that ordering, receiving, preparation, conditioning and displaying of merchandise is done in accordance with policies and guidelines.
• Adhere to company guidelines and standard practice.
• Understand and follow Food Safety and Workplace Safety guidelines and procedures.
• Wear the Food Lion uniform with apron, name badge, when on duty.
• Understand and use company tools such as ACIS and CAO.
• Complete CBT, Training Packet and Training Aid courses.
• Perform all other duties as assigned
