Key Responsibilities

  • Perform surgical procedures for breast diseases, including lumpectomies, mastectomies, and lymph node dissections.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative care.
  • Educate patients and families on breast cancer diagnoses, treatment options, and recovery.
  • Participate in clinical research and contribute to academic publications.
  • Mentor and train medical students, residents, and fellows in breast surgery.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and adhere to institutional and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
  • Board certification in General Surgery.
  • Completion of a Breast Surgery Fellowship (SSO-approved preferred).
  • Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of Texas.
  • Demonstrated commitment to academic medicine, teaching, and research.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
