Community Neuro Rehab of Iowa is seeking dedicated staff for its residential brain injury rehabilitation facility in Iowa. The role supports participants in addressing cognitive, physical, medical, behavioral, and psycho-social goals, helping them regain independence in daily life.

Ideal candidates have background in human services or mental health, with two+ years of experience; extensive training is provided including CBIS certification and sign-on bonuses for certain trainings.

• Associate's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Sociology, or related field with two+ years of experience.
• Driver's license and clean driving record required (21+).
• Must pass state and federal background checks, and pre-employment physical and drug screen.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Description

The Brain Injury position supports and motivates program participants in our residential brain injury rehabilitation facility as they address cognitive, physical, medical, behavioral and psycho-social rehabilitation programming goals (our employees do not provide personal cares). Employees support program participants as they work to develop behavioral compensatory strategies to assisting in coping with manifestations of the brain injury to include struggles with mental health. This engagement supports program participants in developing the skillset to return to lives of personal meaning where they live, learn, work and recreate in their chosen communities.

We are seeking professionally-minded individuals who are looking for an opportunity to learn and grow with our expanding company. Extensive training is provided and includes national certification in brain injury services. Ideal candidates will have experience in the human services, brain injury, or mental health field or currently seeking a degree in these fields. This position does require every other weekend rotation. Positions are available at our Des Moines locations for:

All shifts require every other weekend rotation.

CNR is dedicated to the continued education of its staff members, below are a list of paid trainings.

• CNR fully paid sponsorship for becoming a Certified Brain Injury Specialist (CBIS) in the first twelve (12) months.
• Medication Manager certification (already certified? Ask about our sign on bonus)

• Driving requirement - Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver's license and have a good driving record in accordance with CNR's policies and procedures
• Able to pass state and federal background checks, and a pre-employment physical and drug screen are required
