Job summary

Achieve Beyond in NY seeks a Full Time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to lead assessments and develop treatment plans for children with ASD across Nassau and Suffolk counties. You will supervise therapists, collaborate with families, and ensure programs are socially meaningful and ethically delivered.

The role requires a Master's degree, BCBA and LBA credentials, supervision experience, and availability afternoons/evenings/weekends.

Qualifications

  • Must have a passion for ABA and working with children, families, and therapists!
  • Master's Degree in (Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Educational/Health/Human Services, Psychology).
  • BCBA and LBA required
  • Minimum of one year of ABA client/teacher field supervision
  • Must be self-motivated, a team player, and exercise patience/professionalism.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Must be available afternoons, evenings, and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct assessments for children with ASD and set goals with caregivers.
  • Design behavior intervention plans.
  • Create functional, observable, and measurable goals for staff.
  • Provide at least 10% direct supervision of therapists with training.
  • Review session notes regularly for assigned therapists.
  • Analyze data and adjust programs accordingly.
  • Ensure progress generalizes with caregiver participation.
  • Reassess at least twice yearly and summarize progress.
  • Maintain regular communication with parents, therapists, and the Achieve Beyond office.
  • Maintain HIPAA/state/federal confidentiality.
  • Ensure programs are socially significant and promote independence.
  • Train therapists and develop workshops; create content for social media.

Achieve Beyond was founded in 1995 and is continuously growing to meet the needs of developmentally disabled children through our ABA, speech, occupational, and physical therapy. We currently offer our services in the entire metro New York area (including the five boroughs of NYC, Hudson Valley and Long Island) and Albany, New Jersey, Connecticut, Minnesota, Delaware, California (within in the greater Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Diego areas), and the Virginia/ Maryland/ DC area. We specialize in conducting initial evaluations and providing ongoing services in home, community and clinic settings. Now Hiring: Full Time Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
LOCATION

Nassau and Suffolk County

Job Responsibilities
  • Conduct assessments for children diagnosed with ASD and work with caregivers to create meaningful goals and treatment plans
  • Design behavior intervention plans
  • Create functional specific, observable, and measurable goals for behavior therapists and caregivers to implement.
  • Provide at least 10% direct supervision of behavioral therapists assigned to cases, incorporating behavioral skills training and specific performance feedback while ensuring clinical integrity of the programs.
  • Clinically review session notes on a regular basis for assigned behavior therapists
  • Analyze data and implement data-driven program changes
  • Ensure that progress is generalized and caregivers are active participants in therapy through specific goals, training sessions, and communication.
  • Conduct reassessments at least twice per year while summarizing data and progress for each client supervised
  • Regular communication with parents, behavioral therapists, and the Achieve Beyond office is required
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and State & Federal regulations).
  • Ensure that all programs are socially significant, functional, and lead to independence and happiness! (services, programs, schedule, staff, etc.)
  • Conduct behavior therapist training, ongoing workshops for providers and parents, create behavior analytic content for our social media sites.
Requirements

Physical Requirements
  • Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases including but not limited to driving a personal vehicle, walking, and/or use of public transportation such as a bus or train.
  • The ability to climb and descend staircases
  • The ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
  • The ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/ or crawl for extended periods

Compensation depends on experience and will be discussed during the interview process.
