Job summary

Arbor Wellness is seeking a BHT Supervisor to assist the Director of Operations in supervising the BHT team and ensuring a safe environment for clients in treatment. The role includes overseeing admissions, guiding staff on client support, and monitoring rounds every 30 minutes to maintain safety.

You will schedule shifts, lead BHT meetings, ensure trainings, and uphold HIPAA compliance while maintaining professional ethics and high‑quality client care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; vocational training preferred in a related field.
• Experience as BHT supervisor, or 2 years supervising in a medical setting.
• 3–5 years of healthcare experience for client care; proficient with MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Operations with daily supervision of BHT Supervisors to ensure client safety.
• Oversee admissions and orientation procedures for new clients and intake scheduling.
• Guide BHTs on client support and concerns; respond to questions and address issues.
• Perform rounds every 30 minutes to monitor client well‑being and safety.
• Schedule BHT staff to ensure full shift coverage; manage infection control practices.
• Lead BHT meetings, participate in staff meetings, and cascade information to staff.
• Ensure staff trainings are completed on time and HIPAA confidentiality is maintained.
• Maintain professional ethics and report safety concerns promptly; promote quality care.
• Submit lab requisitions for required testing of clients.

Postion Summary:

This position supports the Director of Operations with the daily supervision of the BHT Supervisor’s while providing a safe environment for the clients in treatment. The BHT Supervisor monitors each BHT’s ability to maintain the client’s well-being during the treatment process while assisting them to adjust to the programming routine by answering questions and/or addressing concerns the client may have.

• Assists with the admission process for new client intake and orientation procedures and schedules
• Provide guidance/assistance to BHTs as it relates to client support and concerns
• Monitors the clients completing the mental health program with emphasis on client safety and their well-being by performing rounds every 30 minutes within the facility
• Responsible for BHTs work schedules to ensure all shifts are covered appropriately,
• Maintains a Standard Infection Control Precaution policy
• Participates in all staff meetings as scheduled as well as lead BHT meetings and cascade information to all BHTs
• Ensures all BHT staff complete required trainings in a timely manner
• Ensures client confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA
• Maintain professional ethics and boundaries at all times
• Reporting and responding to safety concerns (client & staff) timely
• Promote quality client care at all times
• Responsible for submission of lab requisitions for required testing of clients

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Vocational training preferred in a related field.
• Must have experience as BHT supervisor, or 2 years of supervising experience in the medical field.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a health care setting for client care.
• Individual must be computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and ability to pivot with little or no notice
• Must have excellent verbal and nonverbal communication, interpersonal, and active listening skills
• Proficient with MS Office applications
