Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six months or more experience with the specific population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric disorders/dual diagnosis and treatment modalities preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification required (training available upon hire).

Responsibilities

• Ensure wellbeing of patients and provide a safe, structured environment under supervision.
• Assist patients with activities of daily living (toileting, bathing, dressing, grooming, meals, hydration).
• Conduct safety checks and monitor supervision intervals as per guidelines.
• Interact with patients and communicate significant observations to the supervisor.
• Engage patients in activities and therapeutic groups to support treatment goals.
• Take and record vital signs and report changes to the clinical team.
• Chart in patient records timely and accurately.
• Apply de-escalation techniques and assist with restraints when necessary.
• Assist with unit organization, admissions/discharge paperwork, and incident reporting.
