Job summary

Compass Group USA’s Eurest division is hiring a BARISTA at Fort Belvoir, VA 22060. The full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 am–2:30 pm, with a pay rate of $20.75 per hour. Experience in espresso bars and customer service is preferred.

The position is based on-site at the Fort Belvoir location. Summary: Makes and serves coffee/espresso drinks and related items; handles food per HACCP guidelines; interacts with customers and teammates to ensure a friendly, efficient service environment.

Qualifications

• Experience working in espresso bars preferred.
• Must have prior experience in customer service.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders accurately into POS device; handles cash and card payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and supplies; maintains cleanliness of service area.
• Ensures proper presentation, portion control and serving temperatures; follows HACCP standards.
• Maintains sanitation and orderliness of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Greets customers and communicates to ensure satisfaction; assists in selling techniques.
