Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking a full-time associate responsible for baking products to standard, and processing, packaging, and stocking Fresh Foods items. The role includes cleaning work areas, delivering customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage as needed.

Eligible applicants must be 18+ and complete required training in food safety, customer service, and product knowledge; English literacy is required for instruction and communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience or training; or equivalent education/experience.
• Complete company training including food sanitation, customer service, safety, and product knowledge.
• Must be 18 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Bake products according to Fresh Foods standards.
• Process, package, and stock Fresh Foods items.
• Clean work areas and maintain sanitation.
• Provide customer service and assist store staff as needed.
• Unload stock and reload salvage when required.

Job description

This is a full time position. Responsible for baking products according to standards and processing/packaging/stocking Fresh Foods products according to Fresh Foods Standards, cleaning work areas, providing customer service, unloading stock, and reloading salvage.

PERSONAL SKILLS. Exceptional interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE. High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos [in English]. Ability to write simple correspondence [in English]. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other associates of the organization who only speak English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS. Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement.

REASONING ABILITY. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS. Complete Company's training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, food sanitation, customer service network, safety, food safety, and product knowledge.
