Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at a service center in the Luling, LA area. You’ll inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and tires.

You must be at least 18, legally able to work in the United States, and have 2 years of experience or training in auto repair. State inspections and ASE certifications are preferred, and a toolbox of personal tools is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• 2 years of experience and/or training in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in performing undercar repairs.
• Preferred: state inspection license(s); ASE Certifications in Automotive Maintenance and Light Repair (G1), Suspension and Steering (A4), and Brakes (A5).

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide variety of automotive services.
• Repair undercar systems, including brakes, struts, and shocks.
• Complete state-mandated inspections; change oil and filters; check fluids; replace worn parts.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
