Job summary

Glockner South Point Ford in South Point, OH is seeking a Lube Technician for a full-time position. The role offers hourly compensation and includes weekly pay, health/dental/vision and life insurance, paid vacation/holidays, short-term disability, and access to on-staff Nurse Practitioner for health questions.

Responsibilities include draining and replacing oil, topping fluids, inspecting for leaks, checking tires, installing filters and batteries, lubricating moving parts, and diagnosing

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience with servicing vehicles.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Pre-employment drug test and background check.
• Time management and organizational skills.
• Effective communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to read and follow complex directions in manuals as well as relay information in reports.
• The physical ability to perform all tasks related to the position of Lube Technician, such as bending, reaching, standing long periods and lifting over 60 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Draining the oil from a vehicle and replacing it to manufacturer specifications.
• Topping off other fluids, including brake, power steering and windshield wiper fluid.
• Inspecting the engine block and underbody for leaks and potential issues.
• Checking tire pressure and filling tires with air as needed to manufacturer specifications.
• Installing new car parts, such as air filters, oil filters, windshield wipers and batteries.
• Lubricating moving parts as necessary, including those in the engine and wheel bearings.
• Diagnosing existing issues and consulting with lead mechanics on the team to address the vehicles’ issues.
