Responsibilities

• Provide best-in-class guest service: greet guests, respond to questions and concerns quickly and courteously, assist with video gaming needs, inform guests of promotions, and promote loyalty programs; circulate throughout the store to prioritize guests over tasks.
• Support the shopping environment, visual and operational elements, current sales initiatives, and guest relationships that drive sales and repeat business.
• Process guest purchases and returns accurately using the POS system, issue receipts, and ensure high-quality guest service.
• Respond to guest comments or questions in person or by phone; escalate issues to the Store Manager when appropriate.
• Promote GameStop guest benefits, including new title reservations, trade-in programs, and Pro Rewards.
• Assist the Store Manager with setting guest service expectations and training store associates on policies and guidelines.
• Observe associate performance, provide feedback, and address unsatisfactory performance as directed.
• Provide recognition and feedback to associates; document feedback in the HR system in partnership with the Store Manager.
• Ensure onboarding and training for associates prior to opening or closing shifts; ensure knowledge of policies, inventory control, loss prevention, safety, and ethical responsibilities.
• Schedule store associates to meet guidelines, supervise staffing for optimal guest service, and manage breaks and meals.
• Approve payroll, manage time off, and verify hours worked.
• Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and merchandising per company guidelines; ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Fulfill Omni-Channel orders daily.
• Protect company assets through inventory control and loss prevention; inspect packages at closing as needed and communicate concerns to the Store Manager.
• Support the team in meeting sales, profit, and shrink goals and complete required administrative duties.
• Perform inventory counts, restock merchandise, and ensure products are represented and organized.
• Count and reconcile daily transactions in the POS system; handle closeout paperwork and bank deposits per guidelines.
• Verify shipments for discrepancies, conduct inventories, and report discrepancies to the Store Manager/District Manager.
• Process defectives/recalls and stock pulls with proper labeling and packing lists.
• Maintain awareness of safety; report injuries promptly per guidelines.
• Keep store records/files organized and ensure manuals are up to date.
• Supervise and delegate tasks to Sales Associates and Retail Keyholders in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Adhere to GameStop policies and the Associate Handbook and Code of Standards, Ethics & Conduct.
• Adhere to opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications
