Role Description

Working with minimal supervision, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in all aspects of store operations. This includes developing a sales culture through personalized solutions for guests, providing outstanding service, ensuring product visibility, and supervising staff in the absence of the Store Manager.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver exceptional guest service, including greeting guests, responding to questions, and promoting promotions.
  • Support store environment, visual merchandising, and operational initiatives.
  • Process transactions accurately using POS system and handle guest inquiries professionally.
  • Promote guest benefits like reservations, trade-in, and loyalty programs.
  • Assist in training and evaluating store staff, providing feedback, and ensuring compliance with policies.
  • Manage staff scheduling, payroll, and store inventory, including stock counts and order fulfillment.
  • Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and organization according to company standards.
  • Ensure adherence to loss prevention, safety, and operational procedures.
  • Support sales goals and administrative tasks, including banking and record keeping.
Qualifications
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the U.S.; at least 18 years old.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; degree in business or related field preferred.
  • Retail management experience preferred; retail sales or guest service experience also valued.
  • Knowledge of video games is a plus.
Skills and Abilities
  • Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills, bilingual skills preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficient in POS systems, basic math, and paperwork.
  • Flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Physical ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 30 lbs.
