At Allen Edmonds, our Assistant Managers support store activities in partnership with the Store Manager. Responsibilities include supporting Sales Associates, executing product placement, maintaining visual merchandising standards, and creating a premium brand environment.

We offer competitive base rates with flexible schedules and the opportunity to earn uncapped commissions each pay period.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Champion Sales Goals: Coach Sales Associates to improve sales performance and overcome obstacles. Collaborate with the Store Manager to develop action plans.
  • Develop Selling & Service Skills: Lead training in customer service, product knowledge, and sales techniques.
  • Maintain Visual Standards: Regularly walk the sales floor to ensure visual merchandising standards are met.
  • Lead Outreach & Events: Organize local events and campaigns to increase traffic and sales.
  • Identify Sales Opportunities: Review sales data and KPIs to find areas for improvement.
  • Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties as needed to meet business needs.
  • Compensation: Opportunity for uncapped commissions and monthly incentive bonuses based on sales and performance.

Preferred Qualifications & Education

  • High School Diploma/GED
  • Ability to build effective relationships within the store
  • Goal-oriented with strong leadership and communication skills
  • Experience in training, coaching, and retail practices
  • Flexible schedule including holidays, nights, weekends, and extended hours
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. safely
  • Frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and lifting
  • Extended periods on the sales floor
