General Summary:

As a Family Dollar Assistant Store Manager, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our customers and assisting the Store Manager in daily store operations. Responsibilities include maintaining inventories, store appearance, and completing daily paperwork.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities:

• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner, resolving inquiries and concerns.
• Maintain a clean, well-stocked store and provide excellent customer service.
• Supervise, train, and develop Store Associates on Family Dollar practices and procedures.
• Assist in unloading merchandise, organizing stock, and transferring items from stockroom to store.
• Support in ordering merchandise, record-keeping, payroll, scheduling, and cash handling.
• Assist in loss prevention efforts.
• Assume management responsibilities in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.

Position Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives.
• Experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore management preferred.
• Physical ability to lift up to 40 lbs regularly, with occasional lifts up to 55 lbs; capable of walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
• Flexible, full-time availability including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Skills in customer service, developing potential, results orientation, organization, communication, problem-solving, and relationship management.
