Job summary

Lancaster-Lebanon IU13 is seeking an Assistant Social Worker to support pregnant and parenting youth in Lancaster and Lebanon counties. The role serves as a primary contact, helping students complete high school and plan transitions to employment or further education.

Requirements include an Associate’s degree in Social Work or related Human Services field, with a Bachelor's degree preferred; fieldwork or internship experience; and knowledge of school and family systems.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Social Work or related Human Services field.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Field work or internship in social case-work.
• Knowledge of school systems; family systems; social agency operations; ability to integrate components.
• Ability to work with families of children with disabilities in a knowledgeable manner.
• Flexibility with respect to time and days; capable of completing tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in homes of families in high-risk communities.

Purpose Of Position

• Certification Required: None.
• Experience Required: Field work or internship in social case‑work situations.
• Other Qualifications: Knowledge of school systems, family systems, social agency operations and the ability to integrate these components.
• Ability to work with families of children with disabilities in a knowledgeable manner.
• Flexibility with respect to time and days, capable of completing tasks as needed.
• Ability to work in the homes of families residing in high‑risk communities.
