Job description

The Dept of Neurology & Rehabilitation at the University of Illinois Chicago, located in a large metropolitan area, is seeking a full-time Assistant Professor of Clinical Neurology / Physician Surgeon to assist the department with the following responsibilities:

1. Provide full-time clinical patient care in Neurology & Neurocritical Care to a diverse patient population, including the medically underserved, in hospital and outpatient settings.
2. Teach, train, and advise medical students, residents, and fellows in Neurology & Neurocritical Care.
3. Conduct medical science research, publish scientific findings, and perform other university service and administrative duties as assigned.

No travel required for this position.

Minimum qualifications include:

• MD degree or foreign equivalent
• At least 4 years of Neurology residency training
• At least 2 years of Neurocritical Care fellowship training
• Valid Illinois medical license or eligibility
• Board certification or eligibility in Neurology & Neurocritical Care
