We’re searching for a Full-Time Assistant Manager to help lead our civic-minded, pop culture-driven brand. You’ll support the Store Manager in achieving store objectives, including sales targets, recruiting, and team development. Think of yourself as a combination of Harry Potter and Luke Skywalker—able to handle any challenge while driving sales and building lifelong customer relationships.
What You'll Do
- Support your Store Manager in achieving sales plans and goals. While sales are important, our focus is on community impact and team success.
- Assist in recruiting, developing, and retaining a passionate, collaborative team to run your store effectively.
- Create excitement and engagement by promoting new products, utilizing social media, and offering benefits like BOPIS and curbside pickup.
- Provide leadership to ensure the store operates smoothly, balancing operational duties, delegation, and customer-first selling practices.
- Monitor shrink/loss prevention, payroll hours, and associate schedules to maintain store health.
- Communicate with retail leadership and HQ about trends and customer feedback.
- Analyze sales reports and data to inform strategies for meeting sales targets.
- Merchandise the store appealingly, using planograms and launching promotions on time to deliver an engaging shopping experience.
- Partner with your Store Manager to develop a high-performing, customer-focused team of loyal associates.
What You'll Need
- 1-2 years of retail management experience. Passion for philanthropy and pop culture is a plus!
- Proven success in leading teams, with skills in communication, recruiting, operations, and team development.
- Strong skills in communication, time management, professionalism, and operational tasks, with a drive to develop others.
- You must be at least 18 years old to join our team.
- A high school diploma or GED; a degree is a bonus.
- Ability to adapt quickly, handle changing priorities, and catch curveballs in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Ability to navigate the store, merchandise products using store equipment, and lift up to 50 pounds when unpacking merchandise.
