Lowe's Companies, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Loss Prevention professional to lead shrink awareness, theft deterrence, and safety initiatives across our stores in Ohio.

You will coach associates and managers, partner with Store and AP leadership, and deliver practical service standards while maintaining a secure store environment. You will conduct investigations, coordinate with law enforcement, and ensure compliance with laws and company policy.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; equivalent work experience acceptable.
• Must obtain salesperson license within 60 days if required by state.
• Retail investigations experience preferred; at least one completed investigation.
• Experience using CCTV, EAS and other physical security systems.
• Certifications LPQ/LPC or equivalent preferred.

• Coach and train associates and leaders on shrink awareness and theft deterrence.
• Partner with Store and AP Leadership to identify theft trends and develop action plans.
• Deliver SMART customer service and ensure associates have the resources to do the same.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and secure store environment by monitoring entrances, exits, and high-risk areas.
• Monitor activity through surveillance and reporting to detect theft, fraud, and policy violations.
• Conduct external theft apprehensions and interviews in accordance with laws and company policy.
• Investigate and resolve criminal activity, maintain case files, and support law enforcement and court proceedings.
• Assist in internal investigations and provide evidence when needed.
• Validate store security measures and respond to alarm triggers.
• Provide feedback on audit findings to minimize shrink and operational risk.
• Respond effectively to potentially violent situations, ensuring safety.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent years of experience in lieu of education requirement, if applicable
• If the state or local municipality requires a salesperson license for this position, you must either be licensed or pass the requisite licensing exam within sixty (60) days of starting employment in this position.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree Psychology, Criminal Justice
• Business, Criminal Justice, Safety, or related loss prevention / asset protection field
• Demonstrated experience conducting retail investigations (i.e., has conducted at least one retail investigations)
• Experience in using physical security systems (e.g., CCTV, EAS)
• Experience in investigations with Organized Crime and asset protection
• National certified training program (e.g., Wicklander-Zuwalski or Reed training)
• Professional accreditation (e.g., LPQ, LPC) or equivalent experience
