Job summary

Securitas Security Services USA, Inc. in Denver, CO is seeking an Armed Security Officer to maintain a safe environment by patrolling premises and enforcing site rules.

You will provide customer service, assist employees and visitors, and act as a deterrent while responding calmly to emergencies.

Qualifications

• 21 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Armed security experience or background in security, law enforcement or military preferred

Responsibilities

• Actively monitors premises and patrols various locations to maintain safety and security.
• Enforces regulations and directives for client sites pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area.
• Provides customer service and information to employees and customers; serves as a visible deterrent to unlawful activity.
• Responds calmly and effectively to emergencies with appropriate escalation when needed.
• Participates in pre-employment screening processes as required by the company.

Wage: $25.00/HR - (Increase at 1 year of service completion)

Securitas plays an essential role for our clients and in society. The Armed Security Officer position helps maintain a safe and secure environment for our clients by actively monitoring the premises, including patrolling a variety of locations. They preserve order while enforcing regulations and directives for a client site pertaining to personnel, visitors, and the area. Frequently our Armed Security Officers will provide customer service and information to a client’s employees and customers and serve as a physical deterrent.

Basic Requirements

• 21 years of age or older.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Above average computer / technology skills needed - ability to utilize a tablet, computer, or smartphone.
• Excellent customer service and team leadership skills needed.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to remain calm and professional during stressful situations.
• Must have great attention to detail and remain vigilant throughout shift.
• Must have a professional demeanor.
• Must be able to respond to emergencies with rapid / effective judgment and use appropriate escalation.
• All candidates must be willing to participate in the Company’s pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
• 2 years of armed experience.
• Must pass pre-hire testing assignment and shooting qualification.
• Must have a reliable personal vehicle.
• Must have the legal right to work in the United States.
• Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
• Must be able to provide the office with a reliable phone number where the officer can be reached at all times (i.e. cellular).
• Must be reliable, accountable, punctual, and have a strong work ethic.
• Must have a strong grasp of appropriate and professional verbal/written communication.
• Conflict resolution and de-escalation skills a plus.
• Must be able to conduct patrols throughout shift.
• Must be comfortable conducting access control duties.
• Must be able to meet and continue to meet any applicable state, county and municipal licensing and permit requirements for Security Officers.

• Occasional reaching with hands and arms, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling.

• Additional physical requirements may include frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds and occasional lifting and/or moving up to 25 pounds.
