Full Time and Part Time Seasonal Shuttle Drivers

OARS is looking for shuttle drivers at many of our locations across the western United states to provide safe, reliable transportation to OARS guests and equipment.

Depending on location, our season can be from March to November with the majority of the work from late May to mid September. Drivers are a vital part of running great river trips and we hope you are interested in joining our team!

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • A clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR)
  • Responsible for the safe transport of all passengers and gear between origination and destination
  • Ability to drive a 15 passenger van highly preferred
  • Obey all laws of the highway and drive in a defensive manner
  • Learn and understand all trip logistics, evacuation routes, best practices, care of equipment and vehicles
  • Greet and interact with guests with an excellent level of guest service and professionalism
  • Conduct and document daily vehicle maintenance inspections
  • Must be able to work in all weather conditions, including extreme heat and cold
  • Fuel and clean the vehicle daily as needed
  • Report needed repairs and maintenance to manager as needed
  • Drive on dirt roads and highways in various weather conditions
  • Ability to help load gear in and out of vehicle when appropriate and secure loads on trailers
  • Some locations require the ability to tow and back trailers into tight spaces
  • Work well in a fast paced environment
  • Work well as part of a team
  • Other duties as assigned
Hours and Compensation
  • Bi-weekly pay dependent on experience, location, and per shuttle basis
  • Friends and family discounts for river trips
