Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) graduation from an accredited program.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Basic computer skills required.
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification within 14 days.
• Strong clinical skills and patient care abilities.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and prepares them for examination or procedure; records health history and vital signs.
• Administers IM, subcutaneous, and oral medications as ordered and observes patient responses.
• Assists with preparation of supplies and assists physician during procedures.
• Ensures accurate and timely chart entries and EMR updates.
• Schedules tests, coordinates referrals, and obtains pre-authorizations when directed.
• Collects and delivers lab specimens; obtains results and documents in EMR.
• Notifies patients of test results and follow-up appointments; educates patients as needed.
• Reviews medications and post-visit instructions with patients and families.
• Screens calls and coordinates pre-visit planning using EMR.
