FAST RETAILING CO., LTD. in Jersey City is seeking an Alterations Specialist to tailor pants to customer specifications using industrial sewing equipment.

You will apply knowledge of fabrics, sewing and fashion to deliver precise hems and alterations while upholding brand standards. You will assist customers on the floor, meet sales goals, operate as cashier when needed, process shipments and help maintain orderly merchandising.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; 6 months retail or related experience acceptable.
• Sewing/fitting experience preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and English fluency mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Sew hem of pants with industrial sewing machine.
• Trim excess threads and measure, cut, and sew hems.
• Alter pants to fit customer specifications.
• Assist customers and meet sales goals.
• Operate as cashier when needed.
• Process shipments and maintain floor display.
