Job summary

The successful candidate will work as part of an interdisciplinary team including teachers and BCBA, with opportunities for paid training and stipends.

Qualifications

• Associates degree, some college credit or passing of the paraprofessional test.
• Knowledge and understanding of students with social emotional needs.
• A team player to work as a paraprofessional providing academic support for students.
• ABA trained (Applied Behavior Analysis) or be willing to be trained.
• Experience working with students in a school setting preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Support students academically, emotionally, behaviorally, socially in the school setting.
• Work as part of a team with teachers, BCBA and related service providers.
• Knowledge of school classroom procedures, including preparation and maintenance of records.
• Knowledge of special education procedures.
• Demonstrated aptitude for assigned responsibilities at the elementary school level.
• Assist students with toileting if needed
