Job summary

Gaston College seeks a full-time faculty member to teach and support instructional delivery across multiple sites and modes, including CCP/CTE pathways. The role involves preparing, delivering, and evaluating instruction, and engaging with College committees and community activities.

Responsibilities include maintaining syllabi, keeping up with technology, and facilitating student success through flexible access and timely evaluations.

Qualifications

• Diploma in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration or related field is required.
• Associates degree in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration or related field is preferred.
• CFC/EPA Refrigeration Universal Certification is required.
• Electrical or mechanical license is preferred.
• Must meet SACSCOC and other accrediting/credentialing criteria applicable to teaching assignment.

Responsibilities

• Show sensitivity to a diverse student population.
• Provide students with the approved course syllabus and relate instruction to that syllabus.
• Maintain and evaluate student performance according to College policies.
• Enter grades reflecting course objectives and syllabus.
• Maintain instructional quality and update course syllabi and materials.

Education

Diploma in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration, or a related field

Associates degree in Air Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration, or a related field

CFC/EPA Refrigeration Universal Certification

Electrical or mechanical license

SACSCOC criteria compliance and related accrediting requirements
