Qualifications

• High School diploma is required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Successful completion of a State Approved Medication Aide course.
• Personal Care Assistant or Certified Nursing Certification required.
• Able to communicate effectively in writing and speaking within an interdisciplinary care setting.
• Able to work in a senior care environment with safety in mind.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a positive relationship with residents, families and staff.
• Promotes residents' rights and treats residents with dignity and respect.
• Attends in-service education and continuing education per state regulations.
• Maintains confidentiality of residents' information per HIPAA guidelines.
• Documents in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Reports changes in a resident's condition to the supervisor promptly.
• Operates equipment safely and adheres to training.
• Follows infection control practices and emergency procedures.
