Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant engineering field.
• 5+ years of experience in electronics design, PCB technologies, electronics manufacturing, microelectronics, packaging, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of PCB design, circuit layout, and design for manufacturability with CAD experience (AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar).
• Strong written and verbal communication to customer engineers and internal teams.
• Willingness to work primarily on-site with travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and support a team of three applications engineers, setting priorities and providing guidance.
• Serve as a key technical contact for customers, manufacturers’ reps, sales, engineering, and manufacturing teams.
• Review customer design requirements; assess PCB layouts and substrate/packaging approaches to improve manufacturability and performance.
• Guide design-in activities, reviews, prototypes, new product introductions, and transitions to production.
• Prepare and review technical quotations, cost estimates, and feasibility assessments; apply pricing methods.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, production, and quality teams to troubleshoot, address root causes, and improve quality and yield.
• Create technical presentations, documentation, and customer reports; participate in customer visits and industry events.

Whatyou would bring

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical,Manufacturing, or Materials Science Engineering, or a related technicaldiscipline.
• At least five years of relevant engineeringexperience in electronics design, PCB technologies, electronics manufacturing,microelectronics, packaging, or related fields.
• Working knowledge of PCB design, circuit layout,and design for manufacturability, with practical CAD experience (such asAutoCAD, SolidWorks, or comparable tools).
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearlyto customer engineers and internal teams, evaluate design tradeoffs, andrecommend solutions.
• Strong analytical, project coordination, andcross-functional collaboration skills; enthusiasm for customer-facingengineering and team leadership.
• Ability to work primarily on-site and travel forcustomer visits and business needs.

Experiencethat will help you stand out

• Knowledge of die attach, wire bonding, flip-chip,SMT, laser trimming, soldering, hermetic packaging, or related assemblyprocesses.
• Experience mentoring or managing engineers;technical quotations, cost estimating, or customer-facing project management.
