Full-Stack Web Developer (JB5345)

Fully remote (Applicants currently living in South Africa only)

Salary: R40 – 60 000 CTC per month

About the Role

A rapidly growing UK-based investment company seeks a skilled and detail-oriented Full-Stack Web Developer. You will build and maintain responsive, high-performance websites that combine sleek UI with reliable functionality. Collaborate with designers, project managers, and tech teams to ensure the company's digital platforms are visually compelling, technically sound, and optimized for user experience and SEO. If you excel in clean code, cross-platform responsiveness, and modern web practices, this role is ideal for you.

Minimum Requirements

1. 3 - 5 years’ experience as a Website Developer or similar role
2. Proficient in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern frameworks (React, Angular, Vue.js)
3. Exposure to back-end languages like PHP, Node.js, Python, or Ruby on Rails
4. Experience with CMS platforms (WordPress, Webflow, Joomla, Shopify)
5. Working knowledge of databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MongoDB)
6. Familiar with RESTful APIs and third-party system integrations
7. Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals and Google Analytics
8. Experience with version control systems (Git, GitHub, or GitLab)
9. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setup
10. Excellent debugging, problem-solving, and time management skills

Bonus Skills

1. Experience developing eCommerce websites (WooCommerce, Magento, Shopify)
2. Exposure to Python Plotly
3. Knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
4. Understanding of UI/UX best practices and agile methodologies

Technical Requirements

1. Laptop/Desktop: Intel i7/i9 or AMD Ryzen 7/9, 16–32GB RAM, 512GB+ SSD
2. Second monitor recommended for efficiency
3. Internet: Fibre connection (min. 50–100 Mbps)
4. Loadshedding Backup: UPS or inverter recommended
5. Secondary LTE/5G router for internet redundancy

Responsibilities

1. Website Development & Maintenance: Build, test, and maintain responsive, user-friendly websites for desktop and mobile.
2. Team Collaboration: Work closely with designers, project managers, and developers to implement features and improvements.
3. Code Quality: Write well-structured, maintainable, and reusable code; ensure cross-browser compatibility and accessibility.
4. Performance Optimization: Monitor and improve website load times and overall performance; troubleshoot bugs and conduct quality checks.
5. Security & Compliance: Implement security protocols, apply patches, backups, and updates.
6. SEO & Analytics: Apply SEO best practices; support integration of analytics tools like Google Analytics.
7. API & Integrations: Integrate RESTful APIs and external services; ensure functionality across eCommerce and CMS systems.
8. Continuous Learning: Stay updated with web technologies and suggest improvements.
