Spire in Boulder, Colorado, is seeking a Full-Stack Weather Software Engineer to design and build operational weather products leveraging AI and advanced forecasting models. This role involves developing customer-facing dashboards and collaborating across teams to ensure product deployment.
Qualified candidates will have a strong frontend skillset with React and TypeScript, cloud engineering experience, and a background in weather models. Spire offers a hybrid working model with weekly office attendance required.
Spire Global runs the world’s largest multi-purpose satellite constellation, streaming real-time weather and Earth‑observation data. Our Weather division fuses AI and NWP forecasts, initialized with Spire’s proprietary observational data, to build mission‑critical products for customers across energy trading, utilities, agriculture, and other industries. As a Full‑Stack Weather Software Engineer, you’ll work with our weather model output to build and deploy customer products and the frontend systems they are delivered through.
This role sits at the intersection of weather science, geophysical sensing, cloud engineering, and modern AI tooling, building operational products that customers depend on every day. We’re looking for engineers who combine strong frontend skills, weather domain knowledge, and effective use of modern AI tooling.
Spire operates a hybrid work model, and this position will require you to work a minimum of three days per week in the office.
Access to US export‑controlled software and/or technology may be required for this role. If needed, Spire will arrange the necessary licenses—this is not something candidates need to have before applying.
