Job summary

Octus, a leader in credit intelligence, is hiring a full-stack software engineer for the DataOps Engineering team in New York. You will build and maintain data-intensive applications with VueJS frontend and Django-Python backend, collaborating with devops and data scientists to expand our internal data platform.

You should bring 2–3 years of app development experience, proficiency with VueJS and Django-Python, and a growth mindset.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 2-3 years experience in application development and deployment.
• Proven expertise with VueJS and Django-Python.
• Proven experience with relational databases, PostgreSQL a plus.
• Experience with caching (Redis) a plus.
• Familiarity with DevOps and agile development.
• Knowledge of AWS and REST APIs.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, growth mindset.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
• Experience in finance industry a plus.
• Background in information extraction from finance documents a plus.

Responsibilities

• Designing, writing, testing, reviewing, maintaining, deploying and supporting well-engineered VueJS frontend and Django-Python backend software.
• Integrating with and maintaining existing VueJS and Django-Python applications.
• Improving test coverage and maintaining high test-coverage across apps.
• Perform code reviews and ensure best practices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to translate designs (Figma) into functional interfaces.
• Collaborate with developers, devops, QA, and data scientists to enhance internal platform.
• Work with data teams to integrate data pipelines and models into products.
