Job summary

Northwood Space is a modern space infrastructure company building a global ground station network and real-time communications for satellite missions. We seek a Full Stack Developer to own internal tools from API and data layer to the UI, delivering value to platform, software, hardware, and operations engineers.

You'll ship fast, gather user feedback, and iterate, working with the Development lead and Platform Delivery to improve deployment and onboarding workflows across a global network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional full stack development experience.
• Proficiency in Python, Rust or Go for backend services and TypeScript for frontend work.
• Experience building and consuming REST or gRPC APIs and working with relational databases.
• Comfort with containers, Git-based workflows, and CI pipelines.
• Track record of shipping working software to real users and iterating on their feedback.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain internal web applications and services that support build, release, and engineering workflows.
• Build backend APIs and integrations against GitLab, artifact registries, telemetry stores, and internal platform services.
• Own the full lifecycle of the tools you and others build, including requirements gathering from internal users, implementation, deployment via the platform's GitOps flow, and ongoing support.
• Contribute to shared internal tooling frameworks, component libraries, and standards.
• Instrument tools for observability and traceability.
• Participate in code reviews and design discussions across the Development team.
