Job summary

VT Group (VTG) is seeking a capable Full Stack Software Developer to join our team in Chantilly or Herndon, VA. You will design, develop, test, and deploy software across the stack, collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet mission requirements.

The ideal candidate holds an active TS/SCI with Polygraph, a Bachelor's degree in CS or related field, and hands-on experience in Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, and RESTful APIs.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
• Proven experience as Software Developer with hands-on development and delivery of software applications
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or Ruby
• Solid understanding of software development principles including OO design, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
• Experience with frameworks and tools such as Spring, .NET, React, Angular, and Django
• Familiarity with SQL databases and designing/optimizing database schemas
• Knowledge of web technologies including HTML, CSS and RESTful APIs
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy software applications using appropriate languages and technologies.
• Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code that adheres to best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to ensure code quality and consistency across the team.
• Troubleshoot and debug issues, identify root causes, and implement effective solutions.
• Ensure scalability, security, and performance of software applications through solid design and implementation.
• Participate in agile development activities such as sprint planning, standups, and retrospectives.
• Document software designs, processes, and configurations to maintain a comprehensive technical repository.
