Job summary

Vantor is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer in Springfield, VA to build real-time web applications and distributed analytics on a petabyte-scale data store. You will collaborate with data scientists, geospatial analysts, and cybersecurity teams to deliver mission-critical software and user-friendly data science tooling.

The role requires US citizenship and an active TS/SCI clearance with CI poly, plus experience across Python/Java, Linux, containers, and ORM frameworks.

Qualifications

• Must be a US citizen.
• Active TS/SCI clearance w/ CI poly required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/SE or related field; 4 years' experience may substitute.
• 5 years of programming, design, and development experience.
• Ability to own the full software development lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes, Nomad).
• Experience with ORM frameworks (Django, SQLAlchemy, Hibernate).
• Linux OS proficiency.
• Understanding of TCP/IP networking and remote workflows.
• Exposure to OpenStack cloud environments.
• Familiar with GitLab and agile practices.
• Willing to work full-time, on-site in Springfield, VA.
