Job summary

U.S. Bank in the Atlanta area seeks a mid-level software engineer to design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including React-based UI, APIs, and backend services.

You will participate in modernization initiatives, migrating legacy systems to cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure), and build scalable, secure APIs and microservices. The role requires 2–3 years of experience, a Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), and hands-on cloud skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2–3 years of relevant experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with React.js and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Experience building and integrating RESTful APIs / microservices.
• Proven experience in full-stack development across UI, services, and backend systems.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS or Azure).
• Experience modernizing legacy/on-prem platforms to cloud-based architectures.
• Strong database expertise (Oracle or PostgreSQL).
• Familiarity with DevOps / CI-CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab, Kubernetes, Rancher).
• Experience with Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban) using Jira and Confluence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications, including React-based UI, APIs, and backend services.
• Lead and contribute to modernization initiatives, migrating legacy/on-prem systems to cloud-native architectures (AWS/Azure).
• Build and enhance scalable, secure APIs and microservices aligned with enterprise architecture.
• Collaborate in Agile teams to deliver high-quality code and participate in design reviews.
• Implement and support CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and automation for reliable deployments.
• Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive performance improvements.
