Job summary

Costco Travel IT is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer for Platform Enablement in California. The role focuses on building and improving front-end and back-end capabilities, with a strong emphasis on scalable architectures and secure, high-quality code.

You will work across the full technology stack, participate in Scrum ceremonies, and contribute to design decisions, testing, and delivery. A Bachelor’s degree is required, with expertise in Java, Spring, and relational databases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience developing with core Java technologies and libraries.
• 3+ years’ experience in designing and developing client/server and web applications.
• 2+ years’ experience with relational databases (ideally MS-SQL Server and T-SQL).
• 2+ years’ experience with Spring and Spring Boot.
• Familiarity with REST-based web services and unit testing practices (TDD).
• Strong problem solving, analytical, and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Supports system architecture with design of overall engineering for a product/application.
• Performs development, enhancements, and automation tasks to improve product/application delivery.
• Expands knowledge of databases, UI/UX, data models, security concerns, and business value creation.
• Demonstrates strong collaboration with team members to move user stories from backlog to testing.
• Performs peer code reviews and contributes to design discussions and delivery documentation.
