Job summary

Jobot is seeking an early-career Full Stack Software Engineer to support Navy systems from Manassas, VA. You will develop, integrate, test, and maintain software across mission-critical environments, building full stack applications with Java and JavaScript while collaborating in agile teams.

The role requires a BS in CS/SE/CE or related field, 0–3 years of experience, and the ability to work onsite in Manassas with occasional Navy or customer travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or related field.
• 0–3 years of software eng/ systems integration experience.
• Java/J2EE development experience.
• JavaScript frameworks such as React or Vue.
• Relational databases: Oracle or PostgreSQL.
• Hibernate/JPA concepts understanding.
• Familiar with Agile development methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, integrate, test, and maintain software applications supporting Navy operational systems.
• Build and enhance full stack applications using Java and JavaScript technologies.
• Participate in agile sprint planning, development cycles, reviews, and retrospectives.
• Troubleshoot defects and integration challenges across environments.
• Produce maintainable, well-documented code aligned with engineering standards.
• Support validation, software integration, and deployment activities.
• Contribute to technical documentation and configuration management efforts.
• Collaborate with engineers and stakeholders in lab and field settings.
