Job summary

Cognizant is hiring a Software Developer to build scalable web applications using Java, Spring Reactive, and React JS. You will work in a collaborative, mentored environment and contribute to real-world deliverables while learning and growing.

You will design RESTful APIs and reactive microservices, craft responsive UIs with React, and participate in code reviews within Agile teams. Relocation to a Cognizant office in the U.S. may be required; September 2026 start date.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Java application development skills (Core Java, React JavaScript, Spring).
• Demonstrated experiences in cloud computing such as Azure OpenShift and AWS.
• Understanding of software development methodologies.
• Self-motivated with analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills and eagerness to learn new technologies.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; participates in team meetings and applies OOAD patterns.
• Ability to collaborate with global project teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using Java, Spring Reactive, and React JS.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and reactive microservices.
• Build responsive, dynamic, and accessible user interfaces using React JS.
• Write clean, modular, and well-documented code.
• Participate in peer code reviews and debugging; collaborate in Agile teams.
