Chicago Venture Partners (CVP) is seeking a Full-Stack Software Engineer Intern to join our team in Chicago. You will work in a fast-paced environment, collaborating to enhance applications and develop greenfield projects. This internship offers hands-on experience solving real-world business challenges with guidance from IT leaders.

You will learn from mentors, participate in Agile stand-ups, and contribute to projects across multiple industries supported by our IT department.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
• Strong command of Python, JavaScript, and other languages.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar.
• Familiarity with managing data using SQL, PL/SQL, GraphQL, and JSON.
• Proficient understanding of Git.
• Willingness to respond to feedback and take initiative to learn.

Responsibilities

• Learn and understand business needs to assist in building solutions.
• Assist design, development, and testing using React, Django, Node.js, and Flask.
• Write clean, maintainable code following internal standards.
• Develop web applications from internal PIM and Oracle databases.
• Create unit and integration tests for quality.
• Participate in daily stand-ups and code reviews in an Agile team.
• Consume third-party API data and create internal APIs using Node.js and ORDS.
